Geniale, cousine. You are very eloquent in english! Good luck out there, and hope you get good impressions of the Philippines, despite the conflicts.. and the resolutions.

Oh you are so sweet! I wish I would practice more, haven't done any since Thailand... Your yoga in Chad idea is brilliant - and very helpful, bravo! Do you plan to come to London - or Beirut? Let
me know, would love to see you

Cynthia, so good to see you doing yoga still, what a beautiful shoulderstand! I have been teaching a yoga class in Chad to stressed colleagues and friends, it is keeping us all sane me included. So
important. I know you used to have yoga classes at your centre for victims of torture in Beirut, good idea. Hope to see you soon in London or elsewhere x x x Olivia

It's actually not just words, it's a whole phenomena I would say. While "sidet na kuxne" people in Russia resolve all kind of problems, give advice on physological issues, come up with great ideas and new policies... I miss it so much here, nobody in Europe knows the "greatness" of "sidet na kuxne".

I was also "glad" to find out that I was on a wrong blog, as I have no idea who Eric is...

Cynthia your commentary on relationships is so true, and so universally relevant. The funny circumstances of the Lebanese dating scene visit the same issues that apply everywhere: a woman dressing to impress, but actually fearing being approached; a man behaving SO nicely to attract and get close to women, then fearing the emotional intimacy; and a guy keeping multiple options "open" even if it means disappointing others (I wouldn't do that, would I???) It seems the traditional restrictions on behavior and socialization in Lebanon just give people a way to hide from the very people they're trying to meet. Here in the states people use friends to hide from the world, the way the Lebanese use family...

ps: you also bring up a very good point: how DOES one position tanks in a civil conflagration? I laugh just to think of the haphazard positions of tanks... chasing phantoms with their cannon tube.
